Wabi-sabi 侘寂

Wab sabi is an ephemeral concept, difficult to codify.

Personally, it is the aestheticisation of eastern philosophy, focusing on ideas of incompleteness and impermance, material poverty versus spirtual richness, and soliciting the expansion of sensory information (not limited to the visual realm).

It is a point of departure from the prevalence of Euclidean based design (straight lines, symmetry etc.), and other forms of contrived uniqueness.
